I'm Emmy. I'm a self-published author who wrote my memoir the hard way, navigating grief, loss, and a publishing process that felt designed to confuse me. My book started as an attempt to make sense of my experience as a birth mother. It became something much bigger: a reckoning with grief, identity, and the slow work of finding my voice again.

That process showed me two things: how powerful it is to finally put your story on the page, and how unnecessarily hard it is to get it published without someone in your corner.
